Overview
Trend Controls is a UK-based building energy management system (BEMS) manufacturer with over 40 years of history, now operating as a Honeywell Building Technologies brand. The Trend BEMS portfolio includes the IQ series plant controllers, fan coil unit controllers, and the Trend 963 supervisory management workstation software, which provides graphical building monitoring and control for HVAC systems. Trend systems use the proprietary Trend 'TP5' protocol as well as open BACnet and LonWorks interfaces, and are deeply integrated in the UK and European commercial building market with a strong installed base in healthcare, education, and government facilities. Honeywell acquired Trend Control Systems in 2017 to complement its existing Alerton and EBI building automation portfolio. While primarily a European brand, Trend products are available through Honeywell's international distribution network, and some Canadian projects use Trend equipment.
