Overview
TAC Vista was the flagship Building Automation System of TAC AB (Technical Automation Controls), a Swedish BAS manufacturer acquired by Schneider Electric in 2003 and subsequently absorbed into Schneider's building automation portfolio. TAC Vista became a widely deployed BAS in commercial, institutional, and industrial buildings across Canada and Europe, known for its open protocol support including LonWorks, BACnet, and Modbus and its intuitive graphical programming environment. Schneider Electric formally placed TAC Vista on a migration path toward EcoStruxure Building Operation, with the product now listed as a legacy/end-of-life system on Schneider's Canadian portal. A large installed base of TAC Vista systems remains in active service across Canada, particularly in university campuses, hospitals, and government facilities built between 2000 and 2015. Multiple Canadian BAS service firms specialize in TAC Vista maintenance, programming, and migration.
