Overview
System Sensor is a leading manufacturer of fire alarm initiating devices, including photoelectric and ionization smoke detectors, heat detectors, combination smoke/CO detectors, duct smoke detectors, and notification appliances, now operating under the Resideo brand umbrella following Honeywell's spin-off of its home and building technologies business. System Sensor products are commonly specified as the detector component with Gamewell-FCI, Fire-Lite, and other compatible fire alarm panels, and support the Velociti communication protocol used by multiple Honeywell fire alarm brands. The SWIFT wireless fire alarm device system allows System Sensor detectors to be used in wireless or hybrid configurations. Products carry UL and ULC listings and are among the most widely used fire alarm sensing devices in North American commercial construction. Resideo distributes System Sensor products in Canada through a network of security and fire safety wholesalers.
