Legacy brand whose closure in 2019 left millions of installed North American alarm panels still in active service
Overview
Interlogix was the commercial security and life safety division of UTC Fire & Security, itself part of United Technologies Corporation. The brand consolidated several legacy lines including GE Security, ITI, Aritech, and Caddx into a single product family covering intrusion, fire, and access control. Interlogix announced closure at the end of 2019 after UTC decided to exit the residential and small commercial security market, leaving a large installed base of Simon XT, NX, and Concord panels in the field. Despite closure, Interlogix products remain in active service across thousands of Canadian and US installations, supported by third-party sensor manufacturers such as Resolution Products who produce compatible 319.5 MHz wireless sensors. The brand's legacy continues to shape the North American market through frequency-compatible products and the GE/ITI heritage now partially absorbed into other product lines.
