Overview

Feenics, headquartered in Ottawa, Ontario, is a Canadian-born cloud-native access control platform now operating under the Acre Security brand as the engine powering Acre Access Control (AAC), delivering a true Access Control as a Service (ACaaS) solution built from the ground up for cloud rather than adapted from legacy on-premises architectures. The platform uses Mercury Security hardware for a genuinely open hardware ecosystem, supports unlimited doors, users, and cardholders, and features multi-server redundancy with load balancing to virtually eliminate service disruption. Security is a core design principle: Feenics employs TLS 1.2 communications encryption, AES-256 database encryption, multi-factor authentication, and independent third-party vulnerability testing through Veracode and AWS. Available as a desktop app, web client, and mobile app for iOS and Android, Feenics provides single-click building and campus lockdowns, elevator dispatch control, tenant-landlord segmentation, and mass notification, serving Canadian and global enterprise customers including financial institutions, healthcare, and multi-tenant commercial properties.
